Carving Pumkins

A couple of days before Halloween we carved our pumpkins.

You can see Jared, with the surgical gloves on, Cyrus in the green shirt, Cody in the purple....But who is that guy in the gray shirt?

Well, that is James. James goes to the college where Cody goes, and is in the midst of transitioning from his parents home to his own home. He didn't have a place to stay until he solidified his plans, so we offered him a two hots and a cot in the living room. He is only here 2-3 days a week, spending a couple of nights a week with friends and a couple at his sister's house on the days he works.

He is a good kid, and so far it has worked out well.

What is With the Storage Shed

The house we buy has to have a garage AND a workshop for Vern's computer supply!!!!

Right now, his supply is spread between the livingroom, Mom and Dad's bedroom, and the storage shed.

Horders or Storage Wars????

Trunk....Or....Treat

We chose treat, the trunk is too small to fit all of us.

Cody made cupcakes for the cupcake walk

Jared was Indiana Jones, Vern recorded the theme song on his MP3 and it played from Jared's shirt pocket.

Cyrus was a Ranger...but no weapons allowed, so bow was left in the car.

Cody was a pixy fairy, she even made her own crown our of decorative wire!!!

Chantel handed out candy.

Cyrus achieved an advancement in scouts and obtained the next level. We are very proud of how hard he is working!!!

The Makings of a College Student

Victoria came home to visit for a weekend, and of course we took pictures.

Then Vern and Chantel went to Columbia and visited her for a couple of days. It is wonderful to give her hugs!

She even cleaned her room for our visit *grin*

Dinner Creations by Vern

What do you do when you make amazing food. Well, if you are Vern you take a picture!

Cheesy sausage and potatoe bake, and sun dried tomato braut pannini with swiss.

Little Bit of Pretty

Right before our Pretty cat left us, that little bit of a thing with no front claws brought home a squirrell!

And then, on the same day that Victoria went back to Columbia after visiting for the weekend, Pretty left and we haven't seen her since. She was a brave hunter, and quite the personality. We miss seeing her funny face!

Oh Baby, Baby

One of the ladies at church has a tiny foster baby she lets us snuggle with.

We love to hold her....and as you can see, Vern is quite smitten.
