Nursing At Bothwell

Here is the hospital that Chantel works at. The picture with her in it is in front of the wing she works in. She works 7p-7a as a Pediatric RN, but because Peds is often closed she has also floated to the ED, 3SW (surgery), and 2SW (medicine) since she has started.

Who Gave Vern a Black Eye?

The ward here has basketball on Thursday nights. On Vern's first night playing he got an elbow to the eye and carried the shiner for a whole week. On his second night playing he sprained his finger. Basketball is tough!

Cody and her friend Rachel spent the afternoon baking cookies.

Presidential Waters

On one of Chantel's short days we took a road trip down to Warsaw to drive across the Truman Dam. It is pretty down there, and is the gateway to the Lake of the Ozarks. We will be taking trips down that way to go fishing, camping and swimming during the summer next year!

Take a Left in St. Louee

We took a trip to St. Louis to do baptisms with the youth. It is about a 2 hour drive from Sedalia (much shorter than the almost 4 hours we used to drive to Omaha). I guess they had had a little bit of snow, but it looked just like a little bit of ice to us.

A Week Later

There is still a lot of unpacking to do, and we still have things to put into storage,
but we are all together and enjoying each other's company! It is small, but filled
with love.

The girls room

You walk down the hallway to the back door and just past the laundry
is the girl's room. They were kind enough to let us put the food storage
shelves in their room :O)

Our New Home

Here we are on our first night. We pulled in after 10 hours of driving
at about 11pm at night. Didn't even have the energy to pull out the
beds and set them up.

Chantel was so proud of Vern and Victoria who along with her drove
the whole 10 hours with Vern driving the moving truck towing his care,
Chantel driving the van with the dogs and cats, and Victoria following behind.
This was the longest drive Victoria has ever made by herself and she did fabulous.

We arrived tired, but safely feeling blessed to all be together.
