Dad and 42

Vern's birthday was the 24th, which was a Wednesday this year....which means youth night.  Dad asked for homemade fish sticks and waffle fries for his dinner.  Mom decided that we should also have bacon wrapped scallops and saute shrimp, all of which occurred at 9pm, so everyone was very hungry.

Afterwards it was cake, root-bear floats and presents.
The kids made him a memory jar.
Cyrus wrote him a very funny note.

 Cody made a beautiful cake!
 4 and 2 candles.

 YUM!

Cody's Concert

Cody is in Choir at college and they had a performance this week.

 Before the first performance
Cody is on the back row on the far end
Cody is in the back row, the last girl before the guys
 After the last performance
Just for fun, we give you the smolder look.

Money, Money, Money

We decided to have a homeschool field trip to The Federal Reserve Money Museum in Kansas City.

We got in trouble for playing with the round about doors.  Mom and dad had to walk through the side door because the guard made us stop.

World War I for College

Cody had to visit a site of history for her class.  She chose the WWI museum in Kansas City and took all of us along.

Now it is Better

Mom decided she didn't like her room the way it was, so she moved it around the way she liked it.

Jared and his Dad

Jared and dad watching TV together.

Bravery by Paws

Paws the cat has slowly been adventuring from the safety of her room  (mom's and dad's room) since we moved into the house.

She finally made it downstairs one Thursday night while everyone but mom was at basketball.

Cyrus the Bike Daredevil!

Cyrus came home walking with his bike after Seminary one morning telling us the story of his crash.

Riding fast - distraction - curb.....

Flip over handles bars - land on ground under bike - do it in front of cute girls....

Cute girl calls later to make sure you are okay.

Do this with a helmet on your head and make sure to bend the front wheel of your bike!

There's a Turtle on my Shoe

This is for Curtis Rae!!!

Fishing for the Big One

We finally went fishing!  It only took a year and a half of living in Sedalia to go fishing here.
We took Alex with us and he fished for the very first time!

Vern caught a Bluegill and Jared caught a nice Crappie.
