The Spring thaw has brought flooding. At this time, our river has crested at 22.2 inches, 3.2 inches above flood stage, which is 19.0 inches.
The first, third and fourth pictures are the Des
Moines River. It runs through
Windom, and we live just about a block from the river. It has run over both sides of its banks.
This second picture shows water in a field. There is not supposed to be water here, and yet you would think it is a lake.

In the last picture; see that bank of trees in the foreground, those trees are supposed to be on dry land. See that bank of trees far off in the background? That is the river, it runs through those trees. The rest should be dry...
