Trek at Martin's Cove

Cody along with the youth ages 14-18 of the Sioux Falls Stake of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints went to Martin's Cove for a
pioneer trek.

For 4 days, the youth and their leaders walked an approximate total of 30 miles in the
footsteps of Saints before them, pulling, pushing and wading their handcarts.

Cody said it was the most amazing experience of her life!

Victoria had a YSA conference in Rochester and so took Cyrus and
Cody with her.
The Tanners were super kind and offered a place to stay!

Swimming At Long Last

The pool finally opened on June 9th here in little Windom so we can go there to swim
instead of the lake. Then it promptly rained for more than a week and we had to wait until yesterday to swimming again.

Thanks to Grandma Sherril for the pool pass!!! We plan to go as many times as we can until the pool closes again on July 31st.

Riversfest Parade Highlights

Although it was misty and cool, the rain had mostly stopped so
the parade went on. We got a hot dog, a soda, and sat and watched the bands
and cars and firetrucks go by. Jared also got his fair share of candy from the
passerbyers!

Cody made two so we had enough. They were Yummmmmmmmmy!

Cy's 13th Birthday Party

We had a small party for Cyrus the Monday before his birthday. He invited
our neighbor Anya, her parents and a friend, Sean and Brendan.


Everyone gets to pick a special meal for dinner on their birthday, and Cyrus
picked Asian foods, so mom made chicken stirfry with rice, egg-fu-young, egg rolls
and crab puffs.


Cody made two wonderful cakes!

Grandma bought a pool pass for summer birthdays and sent a gift card,
Cyrus also got a knife, a Nerf set and..........

an electric guitar!
