It is Time for Girl's Camp!

Cody and Chantel went to Girl's Camp this year.
Chantel was the camp nurse, and Cody was a 1st year Youth
Camp Leader.

The camp was located in Iowa at Lake Pahoja.

The weather was warm and clear all week!

There were plenty of ticks and mosquitos to contend with.

Everyone made it through camp with only minor injuries...a couple of sprained ankles,
a couple of mild burns, mosquito bites, ticks to remove, low blood sugar, and a few headaches.

Nothing the camp nurse and a priesthood blessing couldn't fix!

And They Walked, and Walked, and Walked

It was beautiful at Camp Pahoja...really it was!!! But it was also a lot of walking.
We walked to the bathroom, we walked to go eat, we walked back to the bathroom,
we walked to go eat, we walked from our tents to the gathering area, and then walked to the bathroom.

In addition, we also went for a 4 mile hike, on top of all of the walking!

Painting for Service

Our service project at camp was painting the ramadas and tables at Camp Pahoja. The girls did a pretty good job.

Little did I know that this last picture around the drinking fountain was the girls rinsing their acrylic laden brushes out in the drinking water. It was a mess to clean up!
